All the way back in 1946, Paul W Klipsh invented the much reveered Klipschorn loudspeaker with one idea in mind – bringing live music into his living room! He was an eccentric maverick, and also a genius at the forefront of loudspeaker research and development, which changed much of the industry forever. The Klipsch Heritage Series Speakers which we stock here at Audiocounsel are all designed and built in the sleepy little town of Hope in southwestern Arkansas, where it all started with Paul W Klipsch.
Each loudspeaker produced by Klipsh in this range is specifically built to order, meaning that when you purchase any of the Heritage range, you are not merely buying a disposible piece of stock – you are investing in something custom built for you – a legitimate heirloom item that you will want to hold onto and pass onto future generations!
The Four Klipsch Principles
At Klipsch they believe in four key principles that are the foundation of great sound. These four principles were the bedrock of the Heritage designs, and continue to drive all of the Klipsch speakers of today and tomorrow. These are:
- High Efficiency
- Low Distortion
- Controlled Directivity
- Flat frequency Response
The way all four of these four objectives were met was through utilising horn technology, through which the effective radiating area of the source of sound can be increased to that of the mouth, thus creating greater air coupling (louder sound).
Horn loading has always been and will always be the foundation of the Klipsch brand’s highly efficient, and stunningly precise sound.
