about klipsch forte iii

Some of the other family members to the Forte III’s in the Heritage range have recently been improved on and upgraded – but only because it actually enhanced their performance, and not just for the sake of it! That is why the Forte III’s design, first introduced in 1985, has largely remained unchanged!

The Forte quickly established itself as the most popular Klipsch model of the time. The elegant design and outstanding performance made the Forte a standout among its competitors. In 2017, Klipsch re-introduced the Forte as part of the Heritage speaker series. The new Forte III features updated cosmetics and the latest advancements in acoustic engineering, while maintaining the original charisma that made the Forte so popular.

built to last.

With the Forte III’s, no detail goes unnoticed. Klipsch speakers are built to rock the house and stand the test of time. The Forte III is meticulously handcrafted and assembled using the finest quality materials, even down to the highest-grade adhesives and fasteners. This is a speaker that will be handed down for generations to come.

Klipsch only uses book-matched wood veneers for the Heritage series. The veneer leaves are kept in order as they are delicately sliced from the timber and precisely arranged to provide a mirror image at the splice joint — like turning the pages of a book. This gives each speaker a more aesthetically appealing and consistent appearance that is treasured more than any other cut of wood veneer.

You only have to look at it to know the Forte III is an altogether different proposition to the Heresy III. And yet, visually, the Forte III blended well into my smallish room.

The Forte III’s innate live feel gets you closer to the musicians than traditional speakers. Indeed, that live feel is Klipsch’s key characteristic, aided in no small part by their big and easy flair with dynamic swing.

The Forte III may be fashionably retro but there’s nothing remotely old-fashioned about the sound. The Forte III is a big and beautiful loudspeaker, both visually and sonically, presenting music in a way that’s utterly enthralling.
