The Debut Carbon.
Upon its launch in 1999, the Debut was an instant hit. Retailing at just £109, it was within reach of any Hi-Fi enthusiast. It’s attainability no doubt inspired people to dust off some of their old records, and has been accredited with playing a part in the current vinyl revival. The Debut Carbon is the modern equivalent of the original Debut TT.
The most obvious improvement is the inclusion of a Carbon tube for the tonearm, which increases stiffness and decreases unwanted resonance. Together with other improvements like an increase in platter size and weight to realize even smoother rotation, the overall sound quality is greatly improved.
The x1.
Building on 30 years of experience the new Project X series is a direct descendant of the original P1 & the previous Xpression Carbon, but using the latest technology & engineering to produce the best X series to date. Physically, the X1 is framed by its larger, heavier weighted MDF structure, out-performing the particle board or plastic chassis alternatives seen in other turntables. Inside, it houses an advanced DC/AC generator board which, combined with the convenient speed control board, delivers clean and stable power to the quiet-running motor.
The X2.
The X2 is made for those who take great joy in the fine details, the build-quality, the high-grade materials and even more audio performance. Structurally, the X2 is supported by its large, heavy, dense and stiff MDF structure, reducing unwanted resonances to almost imperceptible levels. By adding this extra mass, the X2 is even quieter, allowing the vinyl reproduction to become more detailed and precise.
